Dr. Yamil Cid
Dr. Yamil Cid graduated from the National Autonomous University of Mexico in 2015 and obtained his degree in 2016. After graduation he started to work with horses with a head DVM of a breeding horse farm, focusing his practice in equine reproduction and general clinic. Yamil has also worked in a small animal clinic but never forgot his passion about equine medicine. Then, he attended an internship in equine reproduction followed by obtaining the Equine Medicine and Surgery Specialty in the National Autonomous University of Mexico, which focused the practice of the students in theory and practicing, including having the opportunity to travel through Mexico and Argentina, to learn different ways to develop and enhance his diagnostic skills.
After he graduated in 2019 as an Equine Specialist, he started to work again as an associated veterinarian in a private practice focused in Equine Sports Medicine, general medicine, preventive medicine and emergencies management. Finally, in 2020 he started his own Equine Practice and kept practicing at a small animals clinic. In 2021-2022, he moved to the US working as an animal caregiver in a pig farm in Illinois, but always looking forward to practicing in North America as an equine vet. The focus of his practice is Equine Sports Medicine and Reproduction.
His hobbies are reading, playing the guitar, hangout with friends, watching movies, video games, working out, travel and to try to eat the most exotic food that he can find. He considers himself a coffee, horse and dog lover.
